- BY HOLLY LENNON

THE Argyle Street Arches will be turned into a health and fitness hub for a special fitness event.

Sweat It Festival will include exercise classes, nutritious food and drink and some of the selection of wellbeing products Glasgow has to offer under one roof.

Fitness enthusiasts can access unlimited classes, expand their knowledge of topics such as nutrition and sports physiology during the one-day event.

Those who are returning to fitness or looking to improve their lifestyle can test out fitness techniques or take their first steps towards a healthier life.

Taking part in the event will be Cyclebox, 9Rounds, Activ Scotland, plus many more.

The iconic venue will be holding yoga dens, blast sessions, a Refuel and Chatter zone, Aloe Vera Shot Bar, a Sweaty Betty Pop-up shop and live cooking demos.

Emma Lynch, Festival Director and Creator, said: “We started Sweat It Festival in 2018, with the aim to bring the existing health and fitness communities in Glasgow together under one roof.

“Our debut event was a huge success and we’re so excited to bring it back in 2019.

“It is such a feel-good day out with both fitness fanatics and those just interested in becoming healthier and more active coming together to get involved with and be inspired by the titans of Glasgow’s health & wellbeing sector.”

For every ticket purchased for this year’s Sweat It Festival, the team are donating £1 to the SIF grove where they hope to plant over 100 native trees in the Highlands this year.

Sweat It will be taking over the venue on May 19 between 10am and 4pm.
