Tributes paid to ‘beloved’ biker father killed in crash

- TOM TORRANCE

THE TRAGIC victim of a two-vehicle crash in Perthshire has been named as a “beloved lifelong partner and adoring father” from Glasgow.

Iain Chisholm, 58, from the city’s Dumbarton Road, was riding his black Triumph motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a blue BMW 320 car.

The crash took place around half a mile south of Crianlarich on the A85 at around 4.30pm last Friday.

The occupants of the BMW were uninjured.

Iain’s devastated family have since released a statement through Police Scotland, alongside a picture of Iain when he was younger.

They said: “Mr Iain Gibson Chisholm, beloved lifelong partner of Jacqueline Dickson and adored father of Calum and Lucy.”

Iain’s partner Jacqueline also paid a poignant tribute to the dad-of-two on Facebook.

She changed her cover photo to a younger image of the pair, adding that he was a “peaceful man” and they “were rich with nothing”.

She wrote: “We were 32 or 33, up at our favourite place to be with our two kids, the Endrick river. We spent hours exploring and swimming. No money. Lada car. Picnic and loads and loads of love.

“He had a fantastic head of hair, that was part of the attraction.

“He was a peaceful man and I was a rocket.

“He only wanted us and his motorbike. We were rich with nothing”.

Inspector Andrew Thomson, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “We are providing support the family of Mr Chisholm who are very much in our thoughts as we continue to investigate the collision.”

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have any information, including any dashcam footage is urged to get in touch with police via 101, quoting incident number 2835 of September 20.
