Nick Cave at the Hydro

The Bad Seeds have announced a Spring 2020 European and UK tour.

Regarded as one of the world’s greatest live acts, the band will perform in 19 countries including seven shows in the UK.

The tour will include a night at The SSE Hydro on Tuesday May 5 2020. Tickets priced from £28.40 - £62.45 (including admin fee) are on sale at 10am October 25 and available from www.thessehydr­o.com or 0844 395 4000.

The Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1983 by vocalist Nick Cave, multiinstr­umentalist Mick Harvey and guitarist Blixa Bargeld.

SuBo at the Vatican

SCOTTISH singer Susan Boyle will sing for Pope Francis at a Vatican Christmas concert this December.

She will be among a starstudde­d line-up that includes Lionel Richie, 70, and Bonnie Tyler, 68. The singer, 58, is delighted to be on the bill after her previous performanc­e for Pope Benedict in Glasgow.

SuBo, from Blackburn, West Lothian, said: “It’s hard to describe what this means to me.

“Singing for Pope Francis at the Vatican is beyond my wildest dreams.”

The Britain’s Got Talent runner-up will be supported by the Italian Cinema Orchestra at the December 14 event.

Star Wars at The Fort

THIS December, the final chapter in the greatest Jedi story in the galaxy will be told, as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes to Vue Glasgow Fort – and the release date for tickets has finally been announced.

Vue is giving allies of the force and the dark side alike the chance to secure their seat for the finale, as tickets go on sale from Tuesday. The film will hit the big screen on Thursday December 19, with a special midnight screenings at Vue.

Tracy Ferguson, General Manager at Vue Glasgow Fort, said: “We’re hugely excited to bring the final instalment of the Skywalker saga to Vue.”
