Pervert caught with child porn following bail

- BY JACK AITCHISON

A PERVERT was caught with child porn – after twice being bailed for similar offences.

Paul Hannah was found with 12 indecent video clips on his phone at his home in Glasgow’s Drumchapel.

The 35-year-old had just been freed by a sheriff a week earlier. This was after police discovered 26 photos and three videos of children – including a one-yearold – on a mobile.

It emerged this happened 48 hours after he had been bailed for allegedly having “extreme pornography”.

Hannah is now back behind bars after an appearance yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court. He pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images and footage. The offences spanned between November 2018 and January 2019. A not guilty plea was accepted to having extreme pornography.

Hannah was remanded pending sentencing next month. He had been jailed in 2016 for similar crimes.

AN Irish Republican group has vowed to never “bow down to Loyalist threats” after its Bloody Sunday memorial march in Glasgow was met by protests.

Two people were arrested and a police officer was injured after violence broke out between the two sides on Saturday.

A 50-strong group of Loyalists, gathered by the far-right National Defence League, met parades of more than 200 from the West of Scotland Band Alliance as they marched through the city.

Fears of violence had been growing as “IRA off our streets” posters began circulating on social media.

But the Republican group has now said it has as much right to march as

Scotland.

The group posted on Sunday: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to the Bloody Sunday march yesterday.

“We reiterate that we have every right to march through Glasgow as citizens of this country.

“As always, we will not bow down to loyalist threats.”

A heavy police presence was visible throughout the morning with cop vans, armoured vehicles, mounted police and others officers all in place from around 10am.

On several occasions, scuffles broke out along the route through the city centre to the East End.

One officer was injured by thrown missile.

Chief Superintendent Mark Hargreaves said: “We can confirm that the procession concluded at its destination shortly after 1pm without any other citizens of

asignificant incident. Officers dealt with minor disorder, including missiles being thrown, which resulted in a minor injury to a police officer.”

He added: “The procession was stopped a number of times as a result of protest activity to mitigate any further incidents, ensure the safety of all persons involved, and the wider community. Two people have been arrested for minor disorder offences.”
