Baby ‘starter pack’ charity given boost
APARTICK-BASED charity set up to supply underprivileged parents with a baby ‘starter pack’ has received backing from nappy rash brand Metanium, after launching a new partnership with the brand.
Birth, Baby and Beyond has been handing out parcels to expecting parents since 2012, operating the store on Dumbarton Road in Glasgow’s West End for the past eight years.
The starter packs, which are handed out to those in need of financial help with baby supplies, include a pram, cot, Moses basket, bedding, feeding equipment and more, with the value of the parcels falling anywhere from £600 to £1400.
Natasha Earle, founder of Birth, Baby and Beyond, said: “The charity has been helping mothers in need throughout Glasgow for many years. Our Starter Packs contain various basic baby supplies such as nappies, clothing and toiletries, which many of our families can’t afford.”
The charity works with more than 70 parent and child groups in Glasgow, handing out around 13,000 starter packs since its launch, and now with the backing of Metanium, Birth, Baby and Beyond is now able to supply mum and dads with nappy cream to help care for their baby.
Natasha added, “We help keep new mothers fully supplied and their babies clean and healthy.
“The Metanium campaign has been wonderful in providing us with a highly effective nappy-rash prevention cream which will be valuable in protecting babies’ bums throughout the challenging early stages of teething and weaning”
