Standard of food available in hospital is not acceptable
NHS food has always been disgusting in my opinion (‘They don’t care’ Shameful dish given to patient, 98, at Glasgow hospital, Thursday).
This isn’t acceptable for anyone, regardless of age.
The worst thing about the NHS is family not being able to take in home-cooked food.
The only time I experienced this was seven days in the hospital, I hadn’t eaten anything from the hospital those seven days because the smell and look of it made me vomit.
I was told that family can only bring in things like crisps, chocolate, fruit, pre-wrapped cakes etc!
I had to get my family to sneak in food, otherwise I had to live off fruit and snacks!

THE NHS has to cater for patients from all walks of life.
Hospitals are for patients in need of medical attention, not to provide panicky people with food of their choice, they offer patients a choice within the budget provided.
If I was hospitalised, food would be the last thing on my mind.

VERY few clubs will be able to pay staff wages without gate receipts so hopefully there’s no need to follow Italy and Switzerland’s example here (Coronavirus: Scottish football chiefs warn disease outbreak could make it ‘difficult to finish season’, ET online).

IT just shows that all individuals at clubs; players management, coaching staff should remain vigilant and raise personal hygenic standards.
If one person gets it, it’s going to go mad.
Thank God they brought forward the date of the Scottish Cup Final this year.

I JUST read Nicola Sturgeon’s page in the Glasgow Times. Oh, to be under 18 again, free baby boxes, right, free sanitary products, free nursery, free school meals, free bus travel and the right to vote for this benefactor.
Sadly, another budget with little for the sick or homeless and nothing for the OAPs.
Indeed, we have “lost” our free TV licence and still lose our savings and homes to pay for residential care (in spite of having paid NHS contributions for 50 years) and deprive our children of their inheritance which we worked so hard for.
I wonder if Ms Sturgeon will rectify this anomaly when she becomes old, as it seems most things she does is for the benefit of the SNP and not necessary the electorate.

GLASGOW City Council really needs to have a look at the shocking state of the road at the traffic lights on Dobbie’s Loan before you go round the corner to join the M8.
