People are more vexed over cyclists than Covid-19

-

IT seems there is another virus looming around Glasgow, no not drugs – “cyclists”. People are more vexed about cyclists than Covid-19 (Letters, Thursday).

I believe one person responded “idiotic” cyclists.

Oh dear, what a sad person he is. Sitting in his car, and maybe with his lovely family, and the kids listening too daddy lambasting people on bikes. .

Oh dear, heaven help the children if they want a bike for their birthday.

Cyclists who use pavements are of a certain age and trying to keep an appointment.

THE article on Wednesday outlining the police initiative which I agree with 100% is all well and good but I don’t see or hear of any initiative for bad cyclists of which there are lots.

We take away cyclists, drunk cyclists, cycling up the wrong way on one way systems it goes on but the big one is running red lights.

How can one set of road users be in the wrong yet another arm to have carte blanche to do whatever suits them time to even the playing field if we are in the wrong then so are they.

AT least Network Rail is listening to the locals. A very rare thing these days (Demolition of former station building and shop delayed, Thursday).

A HERITAGE tram line along the north bank of the Clyde linking the SECC/Hydro/Transport Museum and Partick Interchange would be a superb added tourist/ visitor attraction (Plans revealed for £7m visitor centre at Finnieston Crane, Glasgow Times online).

GREAT article about an outstanding Scottish talent (Glasgow Times, Thursday).

Celtic’s Ryan Christie is just brilliant. He shone like a star at Aberdeen.

I HAVE family down south but I still think quarantine is the correct decision (FM maintains border quarantine stance after week of no deaths, Glasgow Times online).
