Quarantine on travelling from Greece isn’t needed CAMERA CLUB THIS WEEK’S THEME: # COMMUNICATION
I’ M just back from Greece and where we were in Crete there is very little virus anywhere. There have been very few deaths on the island and it’s very safe.
People were wearing masks indoors and in taxis so we felt quite relaxed.
So why does the Scottish Government have to put a quarantine on people coming back from everywhere in Greece and not just the party places where irresponsible young folk dance about in sweaty virus spreading factories.
It’s not fair to the rest of us who want to travel responsibly and enjoy a much needed holiday!

YOUR story about a couple of Glasgow doctors reanimating corpses with electric shocks ( Glasgow graveyard’s chilling link to Frankenstein, Glasgow Times, Tuesday) sent a shiver down my spine.
The city’s graveyards are full of fascinating stories and it’s great to hear more about them from the team at Glasgow City Archives.
I miss going to my local library very much, so it has been fantastic following Ask the Archivist in Times Past and hearing all about the city collections.
Even when they do keep me awake at night!

HOW much longer are we going to dip in and out of lockdowns?
It seems there are countries who have got to grips with this virus, such as New Zealand, and then others, such as the UK, who are just making it up as they go.
We need a clear plan to get on with our lives.

WHO does the First Minister think she is? She has now decreed that three areas are now on lockdown.
Maybe if Police Scotland did what they are paid to do then this would not be required.
Nobody has enforced the mandatory requirements, it has all
been softly, softly in this PC world created by this incompetent SNP government.
But she has still managed to draft a bill for independence, typical.

SCOTTISH Energy Minister Paul Wheelhouse said that no nuclear power plants would ever be built in Scotland and electricity would only be generated from renewable sources.
When the lights go out this winter will Paul Wheelhouse resign? Wind turbines on Scottish hills were manufactured in
Germany, Denmark and Spain, not Scotland.
All 103 turbines for the Shetlands will be manufactured in Denmark. The Scottish government promised 28,000 green energy jobs from wind turbines but the few created involve disposing of the numerous dead birds and bats. The wind industry sucks in grants, constraint payments and subsidies and spits out unreliable expensive electricity. Clark Cross

How much longer are we going to dip in and out of lockdowns?
IT’S very annoying going into shops and finding lots of people who can’t be bothered to put on a mask, especially in food shops.
I know some people can’t wear them, if they want to get the virus so be it. All they are doing is prolonging things – these people should get a grip.

IS it just me or can anyone tell me why Nicola Sturgeon tells us that we have household visits banned, yet we can all still socialise in pubs, restaurants, etc? What is going on?

IF there’s transmission within schools, then there will obviously be transmission out into the community ( Coronavirus
contact tracing teams working in two Glasgow schools and with council staff, Glasgow Times online)!
And this will affect not only vulnerable family members, but other high risk contacts! That’s why schools are high risk areas of transmission with serious consequences for the wider community!

LIFE has to carry on – we will all be at risk of several viral infections. Shield the vulnerable and be careful about what we do and we will get through this.
