Another bar shuts after staff member tests positive for Covid- 19

-

A BAR in the West End has closed temporarily after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus.

Inn Deep announced it will be closing “for the next few days” in order to allow bosses to “manage this situation”.

The employee to have tested positive for the virus is now self- isolating after their last shift on Tuesday.

Inn Deep yesterday announced the premises will close for the next “few days” in order to conduct a full, deep clean.

A statement reads: “We have made the decision to close the bar for the next few days to allow us to take the time to manage this situation. Rest assured we will be following all guidance issued to us by Test and Protect to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every member of staff who works here and each and every customer who we love to welcome to Inn Deep.

“This closure will allow us to do a thorough deep- clean which will be carried out in all areas of the building.

“We have worked tirelessly post- lockdown, putting in enhanced safety measures and stringent cleaning procedures in order for our staff and customers to have a safe environment for everyone to enjoy.

“If you’re worried, please remember that just because you have been to Inn Deep recently, it doesn’t mean that you will have been at risk.

“However, following Trace and Protect guidance, if you do develop symptoms of Covid- 19 then you should immediately self- isolate and seek a test, in line with the general advice.”

South Side bar The Old Govan Arms confirmed earlier this week that it would be closing for a deep- clean after a customer tested positive for Covid- 19.
