Well, the government did close down our businesses. If they want them to survive and provide jobs then they must support them financially.

Totally outwith the Scottish Government’s abilities – they don’t even fully distribute the vast sums the Chancellor has gifted them ( they’ve got a wee independence fund biscuit tin hidden away). Aye, Scottish taxpayers’ money belongs to England and anything they give us back is down to their sheer generosity. Be thankful, be grateful. Independent countries can borrow as much money as they like on behalf of nonindependent countries and they give us some of it it’s charity, but charity we’ll need to pay back. if
Well, considering the UK government paid the banks £ 500 billion in 2008 and have so far spent just over £ 200bn during the pandemic ... I# m pretty sure they could have done a lot more.
