No surprise that Covid is ending up in our schools WEEK IN PICTURES

-

ITHINK it’s the same in all high schools. I know my daughter’s school is like that ( Parents at Covid- hit South Side school receiving isolation letters ‘ almost weekly’, Glasgow Times online).

People are in and out of each other’s houses all the time. No wonder the kids are catching it and bringing it into the schools. Amanda Dolan

THIS is the third time one of my kids are having to self isolate since they returned in August.

A teacher tried to tell me it’s okay because there had been no cases of close contacts contracting Covid.

Except that’s not true, my daughter in fourth year contracted it through being a close contact in school.

He apologised and said ‘ sorry, I don’t know about that case’. What else don’t they know then?

I AM astonished by the frequency of crashes on the Clydeside Expressway ( Clydeside Expressway: Multi- vehicle crash affecting traffic in both directions, Thursday).

Something must be done about this road before someone is seriously hurt.

Perhaps converting it to a dedicated cycle path to connect the city centre with the West End might be a good idea?

ARRIVING at the GRI today with no cash and having difficulty in paying the parking fee by card over the phone I approached a gentleman in a Mazda and he kindly gave me a £ 1 coin.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank him and I will make a donation on his behalf to CHAS. Glasgow never fails.

IT’S terrible to hear that a charity like Marie Trust now finds itself without premises with its lease expiring. This charity does great work in helping homeless people.

With so many council properties now under- used as staff work from home, surely an offer to accommodate this charity would be line with the official policy of doing everything to alleviate the scourge of homelessness.

I AM yet again struck, and not surprised by the arrogant and total lack of respect that is being shown by the Indy supporters for the democratic result of the 2016 referendum as it was described as a “once on a generation opportunity “so why do they insist on insulting democracy and demanding another.

The result was

NO and the constant bleating is nonsense,

I would like to know where and how these polls are conducted because myself and no- one I know has ever been asked.

NOTHING can be taken away from that performance last night.

Seeing Scotland come together like that and put on an excellent performance is up there with the best game I’ve seen ( Kilmarnock fan). I think Ryan Christie’s
