John Swinney ( below) vows to introduce free meals for all primary pupils in Scotland

When I was a lad things like free school meals were means tested so only those in the greatest need got them, but in the SNP’s great giveaway Scotland, everyone’s children regardless of income receive state aid.

Which is all fine and well, but I feel by lavishing state benefits on those that could in all likelihood get by just fine without it – e. g. the middle and upper classes – only diverts funds away from many charitable organisations who help people in “GENUINE” need.

But that’s the SNP for ya, blind to the obvious!!

The admin costs in means testing simply waste money from going to where it genuinely needs to be. Those “upper classes” won’t seek out these free meals and those “middle classes” either side of any cruel means testing line will be glad of it.

That’s the taxpayer – blind to the obvious!

City chambers and other Glasgow landmarks were not funded by slavery, new study suggests

Of course they weren’t. Everyone know that us Scots are so cuddly and lovely that we would never have got involved in anything like that. We were too busy being “Progressive” even back then because our ancestors knew one day we’d be taking on the dastardly English in an indyref. So we were setting out our wonderfulness way back.

No wonder the EU is desperate to have us back and will give us billions and billions of euros when we join.
