Anger as our PM simply dismisses Brexit woes
ON January 4, 2021, we watched on our television screens the invasion of the White House by a violent mob of Trump supporters, which caused the death of four people and a policeman.
This news was a distraction from our own anticipated problems between the UK and the EU regarding Brexit.
We are already seeing problems at channel ports, with lorries being delayed for unacceptable lengths of time by port authorities.
Boris Johnson has dismissed these delays as teething problems.
Boris like Trump is a divisive character. By leaving Europe, Boris turned his back on one of the people he claimed to admire the most, Winston Churchill.
In 1946, Winston Churchill, the then leader of the Conservative party, made a famous speech at the University of Zurich, in which he advocated a United States of Europe. Churchill also urged people to turn their backs on the horrors of the past and look to the future.

I SEE a rise in council tax is expected.
I thought you raised tax to improve services, not cut them.

I’M concerned at the apparent lack of people being vaccinated in Scotland compared with England.
We don’t seem to be keeping up with England and are lagging behind.
Let’s get rid of this virus for good and have vaccination centres open 24 hours a day until everyone has been vaccinated.
There’s no time to lose.
I’m sure there are plenty of companies that would throw open their doors and provide space for medical professionals to administer the vaccine to residents across the country.
This is our only way out of this
pandemic and we can’t take our time over this.
We have all endured too much already.

I DON’T know how schools think parents can juggle the amount of work they are issuing to pupils and work eight hours a day at home.
I think there will be a lot of parents being driven up the wall this week by constant alerts and emails relating to school work.

I FEEL sorry for the lower-league clubs in Scottish football who have been hit with another setback as their season is suspended.
I will be shocked if all these clubs survive until the end of the season.
