Panic alarm was pressed amid drunk man’s behaviour
ADRUNK lout who verbally abused his disabled dad before coughing in the faces of police officers has now been jailed for 28 months.
Edward Heron, 30, called James, 59, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, an “invalid b ****** ” at his home in Glasgow’s Baillieston last November.

Officers later attended and
Heron coughed threats of them.
Heron, also of Baillieston, pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner aggravated by prejudice relating to disability.
He also admitted being threatening or abusive towards police and assaulting three officers by coughing at them.
The court heard Heron screamed at James, who receives support four times a day, about having fallen and ruining his jacket as well as a relationship break-up.
Prosecutor Graham Macdonald said: “The accused was being abusive towards his father calling him a d*** before making violence towards and a p **** and an b ****** .
“He was asked to leave the flat several times, however he refused each time, making excuses.”
James clicked a panic alarm for the police to be called by his care staff who also heard Heron “shouting all night”.
Officers arrived and Heron continued to act aggressive towards them and he was arrested.
Mr Macdonald said: “The accused put his head back, took a deep breath and deliberately coughed in the faces of the officers.
“En route to the station, he shouted ‘yer all dirty b ****** s’ and ‘I’ll punch yer face in’ at the officers.” invalid
