Various devices seized contained 1580 images. Andrew had 732 images of boys and girls aged four to 16. Adam had 848 images of kids as young as seven to 16.

Adam Clark told officers: “I may have been looking at things I shouldn’t have.”

Two “unbranded tower units” belonging to him were found to contain still and moving images.

The images were created between May 2010 and March 2019.

Prosecutor Hannah Sweeney said: “The images contained pre and post pubescent male and female children aged between seven and 16.”

His father meantime, was found to have still and moving images across DVDs, two laptops, memory cards and a pen drive.

Miss Sweeney added: “The devices included erotic stories created by ‘Andy’ and photo-edited images which were created by the user.”

Andrew Clark also sent emails containing indecent images.

Miss Sweeney said: “The majority of the emails were sexualised, where each user spoke about young children in graphic detail.

“Andrew Clark detailed his interest in young children.”

Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports by Sheriff Andrew Cubie.

The first offenders were granted bail and put on the sex offenders register meantime.
