Thousand-pound reward for ‘stolen’ Drumchapel pup

- BY HAMISH MORRISON

ACASH reward of £1000 is being offered to anyone who can help reunite a pup thought to be stolen and his devastated family. Carmen Mills got Ivor as a pup in February last year, hoping he would be a faithful companion to her 10-year-old autistic son John and three-year-old daughter Zoe.

Ivor is a beloved pet who the family believe was stolen while out walking near the family’s Drumchapel home, and they have been told by one witness he was seen being bundled into the back of a white van in Kinfauns Road.

The 30-year-old mum said: “We got Ivor to try and help John with his needs.

“Ivor was really great company for my son and always there for a cuddle and made him feel safe and secure. All my three kids are still very upset about it.”

She added: “We have followed his mother’s pregnancy and every milestone he made until we took him home at eight weeks old.

“I cannot stress enough how absolutely heartbroken we are and how badly this has affected us. We miss him terribly and we are extremely frightened for his safety. The kids need him home, we need him home, he means the world to us.”

The mum told how the Doberman pup, who turned one-year-old in December, suddenly disappeared on October 21 while he was enjoying a walk near Peel Glen Road.

“We were out walking with him,” said Carmen. “And then he just vanished. We believe he was stolen because some people have come forward to say they saw a dog who looked like him being taken into the back of a van near to where he went missing.”

Organisers behind a Facebook group set up to find the pup, “Where Is Ivor Now?”, have offered a reward of £1000 to anyone who can track him down.

Police confirmed they had received a report that the dog had went missing.
