ANGER OVER ALLEGED RACISM

FORMER Rangers defender Alan Hutton last night hit out at Slavia Prague after an alleged racist comment was made towards Glen Kamara at the end of the Europa League last 16 match at Ibrox last night.

Both sets of players squared up to each other in the closing stages of an often badtempered game the Czech Republic side won 2-0 and had to be separated by Israeli match official Israeli match official Orel Grinfeeld.

And the former Liverpool and England midfielder spent some time speaking to Slavia officials on the sidelines letting him know how unhappy he was after the game had ended.

Hutton was working for broadcasters BT Sport at the game and the ex-Scotland internationalist was disgusted by what he witnessed and called for UEFA to take action.

He said: “If that’s the case it’s absolutely shocking and needs to be dealt with. From what I could see, something was obviously said to upset Kamara.

“He went over to his captain to relay what happened and that was why (Connor) Goldson reacted. It’s something that will need looked at.”

Speaking about the game, Hutton said: “It was a massive opportunity. I’m sure the boys will be gutted in the dressing room.

“But they came up against good opposition. They surprised Rangers with their formation a bit and it was difficult to get to grips with. It was asking a lot of the midfield three.”
