RANGERS Allan McGregor

Received plenty of plaudits for his world class stop last week but will perhaps be frustrated that he didn’t do more to keep out Olayinka’s header. Well beaten by a stunning Stanciu free-kick.

Nathan Patterson

The biggest night of the 19-year-old’s career and Slavia once again looked to exploit his inexperience on the European stage. Can be pleased with another impressive showing in both defensive and offensive roles.

Connor Goldson

Out of sorts early on and made a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes, the costliest of which was failing to prevent Olayinka heading Slavia ahead. Didn’t really recover and had a rare off night as Rangers struggled defensively.

Leon Balogun

Given the nod ahead of Filip Helander but was erratic and fortunate to get away with some sloppy errors, especially a challenge on Sima after he played himself into trouble. Two yellow cards summed up his evening.

Borna Barisic

Put in a few teasing deliveries and didn’t get any rewards for his efforts. Not the worst performer but didn’t have a huge influence overall.

Glen Kamara

Decision to book him for an accidental collision with Bah was a nonsense and marred another steady showing from the midfielder. Furious at a comment in his ear from Kudela late on.

Quietly effective in his own right but couldn’t prevent Slavia from controlling the middle of the park as Rangers struggled to assert themselves. A typically solid performance.

Scott Arfield

A sluggish start from the midfielder that was summed up by a lackadaisical effort to stop Boril’s cross that resulted in the opening goal. A surprising off night and he didn’t see the hour mark.

Joe Aribo

6 Didn’t get on the ball often enough and rarely looked like producing the moments of magic that he is capable of as he was snuffed out of play. A frustrating night.

Ryan Kent

Clearly targeted by Slavia as cynical foul after cynical foul somehow went unpunished in the opening stages but kept coming back for more as he looked to influence proceedings. Plenty of effort but not enough quality at key moments.

Alfredo Morleos

Grew into the first half as it went on and was one of the few threats that Rangers carried. Almost found the net with a terrific effort from distance before the break but had few chances thereafter as the game slid away from Rangers.

Substitutes Kemar Roofe

(for Arfield, 54) Lasted just seven minutes before being shown a straight red card for a catching keeper Kolar in the face with a high boot. Can have no complaints after a reckless challenge.

Jack Simpson

(for Patterson, 78) Given his second appearance late on.

Scott Wright

(for Morelos, 83) Difficult to make an impact with game gone. 4
