RATINGS Aberdeen

GARY WOODS

Made a couple of good saves from Edouard and his all-round game was solid too. Impressive showing from the former Hamilton man as he took his chance to shine in Joe Lewis’s absence.

ROSS MCCRORIE

Forced off in early stages after Edouard landed awkwardly on the back of his leg.

TOMMIE HOBAN

Stood tall and was a commanding presence for home side in defence.

ANDY CONSIDINE

Got up well to win header that teed up opening goal, and more than played his part at the other end too.

JONNY HAYES

7 Experience proved valuable on occasion and had the pace to cope with Kenny up the Celtic right.

MATTY KENNEDY

5 Quiet night for the former St Johnstone man, who did most of his best work in a defensive capacity.

LEWIS FERGUSON

Hero at both ends. On the spot to bundle home opener and should have had another soon after, and made wonderful goalline clearance. Missed a sitter when teed up inadvertently by Brown that would have buried game, mind you.

DEAN CAMPBELL

6 Played a supporting role in the midfield behind the more eye-catching Ferguson, but put in a great shift.

NIALL MCGINN

5 Got into good positions now and again but lacked composure when required.

FLORIAN KAMBERI

Held the ball up well and hassled the Celtic defenders when he had to.

CALLUM HENDRY

Forward was willing to put in a shift for the team and did a lot of selfless running, but couldn’t get into dangerous areas himself.

SUBSTITUTES CALVIN RAMSAY

Youngster was thrown into the action early and coped well with whatever came his way. Assured showing from 17-year-old.

JACK MACKENZIE 5 Got last 25 minutes and did well.

DYLAN MCGEOUCH Brought on to provide experience in later stages.
