£5 a day has never been enough to survive on STAR PHOTO

SEE this “what about our own people” mindset, it’s a stinking pile of utter nonsense. It’s not a case of either or, providing asylum for refugees AND a home for people are BOTH basic human rights.

Spend some time pondering that instead of making narrow minded ill-informed moronic comments. Graham McLean

£5 a day was not enough to live on in 1994! I have good reason to know this. It definitely is not enough in 2021!

THESE posts are created to deflect the real problems going on in the world. If it’s not about refugees, it’s about single mums claiming too many benefits.

It’s to create division. So whilst everyone is fighting and arguing about the poorest people getting too much, their eyes are blinded to the real problems and corruption that goes on in their country. So yeah, keep fighting and blaming the poor, meanwhile the rich get richer whilst laughing at the naivety of the population.

SHOULD let them work if they are able, ones with children should get more for help with nappies etc too. Luckily their bills are paid.

Some people don’t have £35 left after paying bills before they have to pay for shopping either. Plenty of people living in poverty.

PEOPLE and families destitute waiting in line at soup kitchens run by caring volunteers for hot food. Incomes slashed, and poverty is rife in our proud city of Glasgow.

And we have the likes of Susan Aitken, who lectures on the environment, using taxpayers’ money, £5000 of it actually, on short taxi trips round the city.

She reportedly has an annual income of £52,000. Let her pay for her own taxis, or better still walk, as she can pick up the litter and rubbish that council cuts have caused.

Maybe then she can see for herself how our proud city (she is paid to represent) is blighted by this problem, never mind the homeless souls in doorways everywhere.

An absolute disgrace on our proud city of Glasgow!! Shame on her and the rest of the Glasgow City Council freeloaders, I wonder what the world leaders at COP26 in November will be thinking when they visit our once great city?

I NOTICE that Prince Andrew will no longer be carrying out “royal duties”. Does this mean his “allowance” (provided courtesy of the British taxpayers), will be stopped, along with all the other perks, (security, travel etc) paid by us?
