Cast your vote for the winner ahead of the grand final
TIME is running out to vote for your Glasgow Community Champions of 2021. The poll closes today, so there is no time to lose if you want your local heroes recognised in our prestigious awards, held in association with Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Housing Association and Trades House of Glasgow.

The North East Team Award finalists are Denmilne Community Action Group, Fuse Youth Café, Musical Memories Springburn and PEEK – Possibilities for Each and Every Kid. For the north west, the contenders are KSS Farebears, G3 Litter Free and the Glasgow Baby Food Bank Limited. The south finalists are Castlecroft Residents Association, Croftfoot Quad Hub and Friends of the Southern Necropolis.
The Individual Award finalists are, in the north east: John O’Hara, Heather Bryson and Sophie Ross; in the north west: Seon McLaren, Fraser Devine and Jon Craig; and in the south: Stuart Cherry, Donna Foote and David Patterson.
The Public Service Award finalists in the North East are Freewheel North, Shettleston Does Digital and NoFeart; in the North West, Bike for Good Pandemic Response, Chara Centre and Glasgow Baby Food Bank and in the south, Community Renewal Govanhill Roma Team; Allana Kyle and Susanne Lyall.
The citywide Uniformed Services Award finalists are Bike Theft Initiative – Gorbals Community Policing Team; NHS GGC’s Glasgow City Quit Your Way; and Scotservs, while Che Gallagher, Hubert Rudnicki, Mary Jane Anderson, Andrew McNally and Ardoch Childcare Centre’s Litter Team are up for the Young award.
The Health and Wellbeing Award finalists are: for the north east, East End Empowering Stars, Glasgow Gals Cycling Club and PEEKACHEW; in the north west, 3D Drumchapel, Amma Birth Companions and North Glasgow Community Food Initiative; and in the south Cancer Support UK – Cancer Coach, Craft Café Govan, Indepen-dance and Carys Hobbs-Sargeant of Merrygo-round Events.
The Sports Award finalists are, in the north east: Freewheel North, Glasgow Gals and Jamie-Lee Aitken of Chance:2:Be; in the north west, JKS Glasgow, LEAP Sports Scotland Trans Active and West End Road Runners; and in the south, Active Communities Project; Govan Rising Stars; Kingston Amateur Swimming Club and Sparta Trampoline Club.
The three city-wide contenders for the School of the Year award are the FARE community allotment schools Fare Play Nursery, St Clare’s Day Nursery, Lochview Nursery, Oakwood Primary, St Benedict’s Primary and Lochend Community High, St Paul’s Primary Shettleston’s and Westercraigs Nursery School.
