Scotland to face Auld Enemy at DAM Health

UNDER-20 SIX NATIONS

- STUART BATHGATE

SCOTLAND’s Under-20s will play both of their 2022 Six Nations home games at the DAM Health Stadium in Edinburgh, with Grand Slam champions England being first up on the opening day of the tournament before France visit in round three. The junior Championship will take place in February and March, in step with the men’s Six Nations but in contrast with the women’s event, which is being held from late March to the end of April.

England’s round-one visit to the capital will be on Friday 4 February, then a week later Scotland will travel to Colwyn Bay’s Stadium Zip World for a round-two clash with Wales. The home game against France will complete the February fixtures before the competition concludes with visits to the Stadio di Monigo in Treviso and Musgrave Park in Cork. All games will be available to watch in the UK on the BBC iplayer.

“The Under 20s Six Nations Championship is an exciting competition that showcases the next generation of young talent,” Six Nations chief executive Ben Morel said after announcing the fixtures. “It is an important milestone for all young players striving to represent their country at senior level in future.

“The development of age-grade rugby is a key part of our strategy and we would like to thank our broadcast partners for the increased exposure they will be giving the Championship and its rising stars, bringing young players to the homes of sports fans around all the home nations. We look forward to some great rugby.”
