Frankfurt line-up 3-4-3

-

KEVIN TRAPP

A contender to one day replace Manuel Neuer, Trapp is one of the best keepers in Germany and a top shot-stopper. His heroics have been crucial in previous rounds and he seems to thrive in the big games.

TUTA

Tuta has developed nicely and has signed a new contract. Although the Brazilian can be a little clumsy in his tackles, his ability to dribble with the ball out from the back is crucial for his side.

ALMAMY TOURE

As the stand-in for the injured Martin Hinteregger, Toure is undoubtedly the weak link in this defence. He has a tendency to ball watch and occasionally gets caught in possession.

EVAN NDICKA

Ndicka has developed into an exceptional defender, with a notable presence in the air at both ends of the pitch. He is often tasked with sweeping up for other, care-free players in the team.

FILIP KOSTIC

Frankfurt’s most potent source of goals, Kostic has a remarkable left foot and often finds team-mates in the box without even bothering to beat the full-back first. He will be Frankfurt’s main man tonight.

KRISTIJAN JAKIC

Frankfurt’s defensive, counterattacking tactics tends to rely on a lot of running in the middle of the pitch and Jakic will be tasked with putting the Rangers midfield under as much pressure as he can.

DJIBRIL SOW

Often seen as the midfield linchpin due to his fantastic ability to intercept the ball and find some of the team’s more technically gifted players in the box. The Swiss is partial to a long shot, too.

ANSGAR KNAUFF

On loan from Dortmund, Knauff has surprised both clubs with the speed of his progress over the past six months. He scored against Barcelona and West Ham and possesses a deadly turn of pace.

JESPER LINDSTROM

Considered a doubt but every chance he will make the final. A perfect counter-attacking inside forward with pace to burn and an unrelenting desire to take on full-backs in 1v1 situations.

DAICHI KAMADA

If Kostic is Frankfurt’s main source of goals, Kamada is his partner in crime. The forward oozes calm on the ball and is happy to start or finish moves for his side, and has nine goals and four assists this term.

RAFAEL BORRE

Signed as a replacement for Andre Silva last summer, Borre has not set the heather alight but he certainly has not been poor. He is still coming to terms with European football but has registered 11 goals nonetheless.
