Concerns over ‘ out- of- control’ youngsters
WHY are so many bus shelters being smashed up? I’ve spotted two on Auchinairn Road in the last couple of weeks.
Are young gangs of teens just roaming the streets looking to cause destruction?
There appears to be no fear factor these days as these out- ofcontrol youngsters think they can just do what they want.
I spoke to a member of the janitorial team at my local high school last year and he said he isn’t allowed to approach any teenagers to tell them to get off the football pitch despite them scaling the fences when the gate is locked.
I remember being terrified if the on- site janitor at my old high school caught me playing football on the pitch outside of school hours. Now- a- days youngsters can just do what they want.
No wonder our country is in such a mess. No discipline. Parents need to get a grip and teach their ‘ angels’ right from wrong before they end up going down the wrong path in later life.

WITH a raft of strikes set to hit festive travel, thank goodness Santa Claus isn’t reliant on planes, trains, or automobiles.
Santa’s exemption from immigration and customs controls means that Border Force strikes will not impact his national and international travel plans.
There are, however, concerns this year about Father Christmas’s health. The increased workload, due to the ongoing postal strike, coupled with the yearly pressure of intense seasonal expectations is a worry. St Nicholas isn’t getting any younger, and an icy slip, trip, or fall at the North Pole in the build- up to Christmas, will not guarantee a timely response from an emergency paramedic.
Delayed care, and potential complications due to his elevated BMI, could result in Santa being in bed on Christmas eve. What would we then say to the children? Gary Freestone
