M8 shake- up in city could be a wise move
IF Angus Millar wants to simply displace traffic congestion elsewhere then, by all means, downgrade the stretch of M8 in question. The annual West End Festival is first- hand proof of such a consequence.
Not that I’m unduly car- centric either because I accept how the sunken swathes of motorway offer potential for Land Reclamation. Andrew McIntyre

DO Glasgow city councillors have nothing to do?
The latest stupid idea from Angus Millar is to re- imagine the M8 through the city.
Where would he like it to go? Argyle Street, Sauchiehall Street via George square? These will all be car- free anyway.
How many billions would this cost tax payers?
Let’s just demolish the city centre – that would be cheaper. Who pays these people?

I HAVE just seen pictures of various flooded roads across Glasgow and wondered many times before as to why there are no stank and drainage trucks anymore.
People should complain vigorously to the city council regarding this matter especially car drivers, and cyclists.
The extent of the flooding is an absolute disgrace.

MY new year’s resolution is to stop using buses. I’m sick of the constant cancellations, anti- social behaviour from teenagers and the disgusting state of the vehicles.
If train strikes ever end, I will start using trains.

WHAT a joke the television schedule was on Hogmanay.
There was nothing worth watching at all.
I miss the days of watching cracking Scottish comedies on BBC with the late Rikki Fulton and Jonathan Watson.
Why can’t we make TV show like that anymore? What do we pay our licence fee for?
