Choice of TV programmes for viewers is truly awful ... it’s time for new shows

-

IREALLY do wonder why we pay a TV Licence fee as the choice on our box is awful! I keep hoping every week that it will get better but the same rubbish is screened every week.

Some of the so- called celebrities must coin in the cash with their appearance on awful quiz shows.

I miss the days when we had proper quiz shows without ‘ celebrities’ and top US imports such as Knight Rider and

The A- Team on our screens.

Saturday TV used to be amazing before we got landed with the likes of Ant and Dec and the awful Masked Singer.

Do any readers agree with me? Surely, there must be some TV bosses out there who can provide viewers with better shows.

COMING through the town near Central Station, it is apparent the loonies have taken over this asylum.

It is just 2.30pm and already there is screaming under the Argyle Street Bridge.

Numerous ‘ drug deals’ are going on witnessed by everyone except police who are nowhere to be seen.

Maybe one day they will get on top of it but not today.

Maybe rethink the policy of housing addicted people close to their supply in the city centre. Maybe a start?

Rehabilitation, not facilitation is a good idea. Goodness knows what the year- round tourist visitors think. I believe there is no way

they will revisit what has become a zoo in my opinion.

READERS had their say after a minister asked when will work start on the Glasgow Metro.

I doubt I will see the Glasgow Metro running in my lifetime.

What a waste of time and money.

Too much discussion without any action.

Surely, a Metro should go to and from centres of population.

This makes a pretty picture of a bad crossing that is having traffic lights installed.

It would be better along Dumbarton Road to and from Clydebank. Or is it looping into Drumchapel or Clydebank?

The Croydon tram is a good example of an urban metro network with an easy, inexpensive ticketing system.

Need to maintain and sort roads and bridges first.

It’s horrendous that the two largest city airports in Scotland do not have a train station. Henry Hawkes

Transport connections at Glasgow Airport are an absolute disgrace.

The taxis and airport buses are an absolute rip- off in my view.

It’s little wonder passengers opt for Edinburgh over Glasgow.

Sadly our city has zero to offer passengers when it comes to facilities in the airport and transport links.

I’m embarrassed when I arrive or depart from Glasgow.

The airport is not up to the standard that we require.
