ANOTHER huge name is moving into the Brewery Quarter - and this time it’s a county-based beauty business.

SLG will consolidate its 120 staff from sites in Cheltenham and Gloucester sites into an international HQ in Cheltenham.

The global brand company is behind a wave of beauty and male grooming brands including COLAB Dry Shampoo, LMX by Little Mix , Zoella Beauty, Johnny’s Chop Shop and Superdry Performance Grooming.

Work is about to start on fitting out the 27,000sq ft premises on the first floor of the retail development in Cheltenham, above the Urban Outfitters store which is due to open in November.

SLG aims to be up and running in the new location by January.

The vast new space will include design features such as a 20ft Shipping Container staff shop, upcycled vintage telephone boxes, cafe and bar area, media wall and bleachers stand and innovative transparent orange meeting cube.

The ambitious £2.5million fit out has been visioned by the in-house creative team at SLG and is being designed with award-winning London Interior Design firm Modus Workspace.

Modus has designed office interiors for many leading companies such as Skyscanner and Jagermeister and Matches Fashion and this year won the Design & Build Company of the Year at the prestigious Mixology 2018 Awards.

SLG chief executive Miles Dunkley, inset, said: “We have long felt that the work environment is vital in stimulating creative thinking and intent. In that respect, as a trend and fashion geared business, we wanted to take full advantage of this office move and create the most incredible work space we could.

“The investment we are making is also aimed at ensuring the time our incredibly hard-working staff spend in the office is the most enjoyable that it can be while also cementing SLG’S Cheltenham foundations for many, many years to come.”

The office space will include a 5,500sq ft sub-let area available for lease from January.

Phil Martin, director of Martin Commercial Properties which manages The Brewery Quarter, said “We’re delighted to welcome SLG to The Brewery Quarter. The addition means that as well as being a destination for leisure, retail, hotel and dining, we are now a hub for business too. SLG has built a reputation for its creative and forward-thinking approach to office space and is a company that employs passionate people who love to work there. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the SLG team when their stylish new office is ready in January.”
