Road to Wembley ends early for Town

FAIRFORD Town are out of the FA Cup after a 2-0 extra preliminary round defeat at Hadley.

A goal either side of the break did the damage with the visitors unable to find a way through against the Spartan South Midlands Football League Premier Division side.

The home side took the initiative early on and Hadley broke the deadlock with 28 minutes on the clock with Jeff Idemudia firing home from close range.

Fairford were unable to bring themselves level before the break as the home side saw out the half.

The contest was effectively over when Jeff Idemudia netted the second of the game to secure Hadley a place in the next round of the world’s oldest cup competition.
