Cleeve goalkeeper Sam Gilder will miss around six weeks after having his appendix removed.

Gilder, 30, who turned down a move to Worcester City in the summer vowed to come back stronger.

“I am gutted it’s come at this stage of the season especially after all the work put in during pre-season,” Gilder said.

“I’ll be there to cheer on the boys after a positive start in the league and I am determined to come back stronger and fitter and fight for the number one shirt for the remainder of the season.”
