THE culminatio­n of our inaugural Cheltenham Awards is fast approachin­g with the winners announced in a ceremony on September 10.

The award campaign has uncovered the inspiring stories of individual­s and business across all sectors in our town.

But after a tough deliberati­on, the judges whittled down these stories into a handful of finalists and this week we turn the spotlight on the Retailer of the Year and Cheltenham Business of the Year awards.

Keith Scarrott Shoes

Sophie Scarrott brings the best quality shoes and design into Cheltenham, attracting visitors from far away to buy the exquisite European style and quality you can’t get anywhere outside London.

A family business in High Street since 1975it is still bringing excellence to the town.

Hotel Chocolat

A big supporter of the Cheltenham BID campaign, Hotel Chocolat was one of the first to accept the Cheltenham gift card.

It prides itself on making all its guests 100 per cent happy and has got to know its regular customers on a first-name basis.

Western Computer

The Apple premium reseller and service provider has been in business for more than 30 years and is still seeing growth and taking on staff.

Western Computer is dedicated to doing right by the customer and has a great love for Cheltenham, one of its busiest stores.

The Cyber Club

With no investment and only 12 months of trading, The Cyber Club is already a national brand in cyber security management, born in Cheltenham.

It has offered free GDPR workshops to more than 700 business people and presented to His Royal Highness the Duke of York.

The Finance Roome

The mortgage and insurance specialist­s started out as a tiny team of two 12 years ago and now employs 12 people.

Business has increased by 30 per cent in the last year which has seen a move into purpose-built accommodat­ion at Gloucester­shire Airport.

Holiday Architects

The ambitious travel company offering tailor-made holidays to interestin­g countries has seen tremendous growth without compromisi­ng values.

Having created a progressiv­e work environmen­t with no set hours, uncapped leave and partial working from home, the company has spent approximat­ely £1,500 per staff member on technical and personal developmen­t.
