The 69th Annual Winchcombe Country Show will take place on Monday, August 27 at noon on Winchcombe School’s Playing Fields. This is a traditional community event with something for everyone with money raised goes to local charities and organisations.

Dance for Parkinson’s resumes on September 3 from 2-3.30pm and the following two weeks. The cost is £5 per session for those with Parkinson’s but it is free for family, friends and carers.

The sessions are held at Abbey Fields Community Centre, Back Lane, Winchcombe.

The next meeting of Winchcombe Town Council is on Wednesday, September 5, at 7.30pm in Abbey Fields Community Centre. This will be preceded by the usual planning committee meeting at 7pm. Agendas can be viewed on the town council noticeboards nearer the time.

Winchcombe Day Care Centre does not receive any funding to keep operating so its small staff team are continually fundraising to keep the centre open.

On September 15 the team will be taking on the Devil Mud Run in Gretton, a 9km course featuring 31 obstacles.
