Stanton Hall and the Conference Room are now available for lettings by members of the community with all COVID-19 related safety protocols in place.

In order to support local businesses and community groups the council will be offering a 50 per cent reduction in the hourly room hire charge until the end of the calendar year 2020 in the first instance.

A Community Basic Life-saving and Defibrilla­tor training will take place on Saturday October 24 at Stanton Hall.

This course is free and is run by the South Western Ambulance Service who sourced and maintain the defibrilla­tor that is located on the exterior wall of the Parish Office in Church Piece, Charlton Kings.

In order to comply with COVID-19 safety guidance you must book in advance if you wish to attend this course. Numbers are limited and allocated on first come first served basis.

The Sue Ryder “Walk to Remember” event on October 17 is a 5k or 10k walk in memory of a loved one.

Get together with family and friends at a safe distance of course and use this as an opportunit­y to dedicate something to a person you love and simultaneo­usly raise vital funds to support Sue Ryder’s work at Leckhampto­n Court Hospice.

Walkers can take part by walking on any day in October or on the official event day of October 17th.
