Come and have some fun at the Real Ale and Pie Weekend
CHELTENHAM is a town renowned through history for its eclectic and wide-ranging events, festivals and activities that take place all year round in the wonderful parks and venues.
At The Cheltenham Trust we’re adding an exciting new event to bring more variety to the town’s cultural offer, particularly as these challenging times continue.
At the Trust we have recognised how comforting simple pleasures can be during this unprecedented time and throughout the past few months we have hosted several events using the outside space at our venues at Pittville Pump Room and the Garden Bar at Imperial Gardens.
As autumn draws in, what could be more traditional and comforting than the offer of a pie and a pint?
We’re launching the first Real Ale
»
and Pie Weekend at the Garden Bar Marquee which will run over four days from October 15 to 18 and we hope this will become an established event in Cheltenham’s annual calendar.
We’ll be serving a selection of local real ales and ciders and our chefs are creating a range of pies using the real ales in their recipes.
A Real Ale and Pie event also needs live music and we will be hosting music in the marquee throughout the weekend with Union of Strings on Friday October 16 from 6pm and a double line up on Saturday with folk musician Ed Blake at 2pm and Belle Adventure with their set of Americana and country music from 6pm.
On Sunday October 18, popular pianist and singer Jon Clare brings boogie woogie and rock and roll sounds from 2pm.
This four day event offers a covid safe option to enjoy something new and different at a time when we all need something to look forward to.
