Comfortabl­e win in FA Cup tie for the Robins ladies

CHELTENHAM Town Ladies progressed in the Vitality FA Women’s Cup with a comfortabl­e 3-0 home victory over Brislingto­n on Sunday.

It capped a memorable weekend for the Robins, whose goals came from Billie Haynes, Alice Kempski and Charlotte

Criddle in front of 64 fans at the Big Local Stadium.

Criddle maintained her impressive set piece record with a third free-kick goal of the campaign as Tom Davies’ side safely moved into the third qualifying round.

They have been drawn at home to Portishead Town, with the game due to be played on Sunday, November 1.

Meanwhile, the Cheltenham Town Ladies Developmen­t team were defeating Frampton Rangers Ladies 2-1 at Tewkesbury School.

It was their first win of the South West Regional Women’s Football League Northern Division campaign.

The day had started with a first team breakfast at the Cosy Club in Cheltenham’s Brewery Quarter, followed by a squad photo at the Jonny-rocks Stadium.

The first team play Poole Town away next Sunday in Women’s National League Division One South West (2pm).
