Ball signs up for All Golds

» THE All Golds’ recruitmen­t plans have been boosted further with the signing of England and Lancashire representa­tive, Darrion Ball.

According to All Golds’ director Danny Wilson, who is also England Academy head coach and a Rugby Football League Coach Educator, “Darrion is a great addition to the first team squad and fits the profile of what the All Golds are building around which is good people with a strong desire to help us achieve our goals.

“He is a very experience­d rugby league player and will certainly help develop some of our younger talent.

“His internatio­nal representa­tion speaks for itself and we are looking forward to helping him continue his achievemen­ts at the Golden Fern.”

Ball’s started playing the sport as a youngster with the Wigan club, St Jude’s, with whom he won the divisional championsh­ip.

His skills were further honed in the systems of Super League clubs Wigan Warriors (education academy) and Salford Red Devils.

His talents caught the attention of the selectors and earned him the honour of representi­ng Lancashire.

Thereafter he was chosen to don the England jersey in the Commonweal­th Games in Australia.

Ball now lives in the West of England and has previously contribute­d greatly to the rising success of the well thought of Somerset Vikings club.

“I was very pleased when I heard the All Golds were coming to the city of Bristol.

The club has gone about its dealings with me in a very profession­al manner and I am aware their facilities at SGS Stoke Gifford stadium are amongst the best in the country.

“I know the club has within its ranks some really good players and I am looking forward to joining the squad when preseason training starts.”
