AN incredible house in Cheltenham has become a viral hit with its Christmas decorations. The house, wrapped up like a Christmas present can be seen from quite a way away on Sydenham Villas Road in the town.

People have been praising the house on Twitter, one person said “My nearly three-year-old little girl is very excited for Christmas this year and I can’t wait to take her on a little walk past this house to see her face.

“Awesome work on putting some extra magic into Christmas with so many of the usual festivities cancelled this difficult year!” “That’s so pretty!” said another. The house is owned by a private family who said that they didn’t want attention from the decorations, but just to spread Christmas cheer after a “rubbish year”.

The family said that they want people to smile and enjoy it with their children, and have also said that they would be happy for people to make donations to The Trussell Trust, Gloucestershire’s foodbank charity and Cheltenham Guardians.

The house was decorated by The Christmas Decorators, the same company that has decorated The Brewery Quarter and The Ivy in Montpellier.

The stunning building can be found on the corner of Sydenham Villas Road, and is protected by CCTV.

There is no current time limit on the decorations but the family have said that they plan to leave it up “as long as possible”.

They mentioned that the street lights outside their house had been removed and that the lights on the trees outside their house made them and neighbours feel safer as motorists and pedestrians could see better.

Speaking to Gloucestershire Live, the owners said: “We just love Christmas. We used a commercial company, The Christmas Decorators, it took eight people 12 hours to do it.

“Everybody needs a bit of Christmas cheer after this year.

“We’ve been decorating the house for three years, people love it. It’s been a pretty rubbish year and we love Christmas so we just wanted to make people smile.”
