» A BREWERY is offering customers the pub experience in the comfort of their own home with their ‘pub in a box’.

Visiting the pub has become a rarity in in 2020, with two national lockdowns closing public houses across the country.

Bourton-on-the-water brewery, Cotswold Brew Co, are looking to combat this with their very own ‘pub in a box’.

Jake Salter, sales manager at Cotswold Brew Co, said: “We had a lot of fun putting this design together with our packaging supplier.

“Our mixed cases have been going down well with our website customers and, with ‘pub in a box’, it’s a perfect gift that adds another layer of excitement to a beer delivery.”

Designed in the style of a quintessential Cotswold pub, it contains ten beers from the lager brewery’s range, including glassware and other merchandise. There is even a blank sign on the front of the box which can be filled in and personalised to the recipient.

Mr Salter added: “We’ve been speaking to our customers regularly and it’s been a tough year for all of them.

“For those that have remained open, transitioning to takeaway services and off-licences as their primary offering has been difficult to implement and gain traction for in such a short space of time. We will be doing all we can to support them.”

Cotswold Brew Co is also a supplier of draught and bottled beer to many hospitality venues in Gloucestershire - all of whom have experienced hardship this year.

In response, the brewery will be donating £1 from each pub in a box sale to Hospitality Action, a charity with a long history of supporting those who work in the sector.

Pub in a box is available to buy now for £50.
