THE logistics arm of St Modwen has completed deals with three South West e-commerce firms for warehouse space at two of its business parks in the region.

County-based kitchenware brand Procook, which listed on the London Stock Exchange towards the end of last year, fast-growing Wiltshire furniture retailer Furniture Box and footwear wholesaler Gardiner Bros & Co have all signed up for space totalling around 375,000sqft at the sites near Gloucester and Chippenham.

Procook, which sells its cooking and dining products directly to its customers through its website and through a growing portfolio of retail stores, has signed a deal for a 168,000 sq ft build to suit unit at St. Modwen Park Gloucester, expanding on its two existing units across the county.

Gardiner Bros & Co has also signed for an additional 116,000 sq ft unit at the Gloucestershire site, following a previous expansion of its operations there in September.

Furniture Box, which last year was listed as the fastest-growing online brand in the South West, has taken an 88,000 sq ft build to suit unit at St. Modwen Park Chippenham, after reporting a rise in sales of £9.4m in 2020.

Polly Troughton, managing director at St. Modwen Logistics, said: “We are delighted to offer prime warehouse space for a variety of growing e-commerce companies, helping to accommodate their rapid expansion needs into big box warehouses.

“We are experiencing increased demand for high-quality warehouse space across the South West, as well as the rest of the UK.”
