Edward shines with Pendock victory
BOURTON Roadrunners were out in force at a range of events, including Run Pendock’s 10K, 5K and 1K options, with the 10K forming part of the club’s competition series.
Five members opted for the 5K race, with junior Edward Hare finishing first in 20.57, while junior Pippa Krzywiec was the first female, sixth overall, in 24:48.
Margaret Hollamby was first senior woman (LV65/1) in 29:22 while husband and wife Patrick and Julie Smith finished in 39:55 and 39:56 respectively.
The 10K had 20 Bourton runners, led by Tim Carter, seventh in 42:26 followed by Dougal Hamilton-smith in 47:46, Derek Darby 49:16 and Rebecca Townsend, the first senior woman in 50:28.

Jaq Underwood and Claire Carroll took on the Bath Half Marathon,
Underwood finishing in 1:48.23 and Carroll in 2:17:29.
Kevin Goodwill ran The Big Cheese at Cheddar, Somerset, a 15 mile off-road fell race across the Mendip Hills, and Susan Hunt conquered The Grizzly; a 20 mile challenge in East Devon, in 5:16.26.
