Track your shots and unlock your true scoring potential with Arccos Caddie

-

There are many ways to improve at golf, from new gear to lessons with a PGA pro and hours of dedicated practice. But before you embark on any of those courses of action, wouldn’t it be great if you knew exactly what you should be focusing on? Now, thanks to the incredible Arccos Caddie – golf’s first Artificial Intelligence caddie – you can!

Arccos Caddie can help you make the best decisions on the course and away from it in practice as you analyse your performance data to see where your strengths and weaknesses really lie. Then, by drawing on your data and that of other Arccos Caddie users, it can even help you make better strategy decisions on any of the 40,000+ courses in the Arccos Caddie system.

The system works via scanning sensors in your grips. When you take a particular club out of the bag, it ‘wakes up’ the Arccos Caddie app then detects which club is being used and picks up the sound of impact via your phone’s microphone. This allows it to track each shot you hit based on where you play your next shot from. Over three million rounds have now been played using Arccos Caddie since its 2015 launch and the company’s stats show that an impressive 86 per cent of users improve within the first year.

Thanks to the wealth of data generated, there are countless ways in which you can use Arccos Caddie to steer you towards improvement. Here are the five key features that can help take your game to the next level…

1GPS distances via the app Most golfers now rely on precise distance information. Arccos Caddie provides GPS distances on over 40,000 courses via the app. You can check yardages to any point on any hole and move the flagstick to the correct position. The ‘plays like’ yardage function cleverly factors in the effects of wind and elevation, but can be toggled to ‘off’ to conform to the Rules of Golf.

2Shot tracking Live shot tracking uses the grip sensors and impact sound to track every shot you hit, thus allowing you to review your performance hole-by-hole afterwards to see how far you hit each club, what went well and where you went wrong. Over time, you will build up a wealth of information to draw on when seeking to pinpoint strengths, weaknesses and perhaps questionable strategy decisions.
