Scottie Scheffler

The state of Texas has played an

important role in Scheffler’s life. He was born in Dallas and attended the University of Texas at Austin, playing for the Texas Longhorns golf team for four years before graduating with a degree in finance. He turned professional in 2018 and was named Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year in 2019.

So far in his career he’s had five

holes-in-one and in August he shot the 11th 59 in PGA Tour history at The Northern Trust at TPC Boston. This included 12 birdies and six pars. He also finished T4 at the USPGA, only his second Major start.

One of his other main hobbies is basketball and he continues to try and play as much as he can despite the demands of the PGA Tour. He also plays a lot of table tennis, but acknowledges that his former college teammate Doug Ghim and Bryson Dechambeau are the best ping-pong players on the golfing circuit.
