This family owned club just outside Henley-on-thames continues to invest and improve as it moves rapidly towards its half-century in 2022. The B&B accommodation is of a very high standard, with the eight rooms beautifully decorated.

There’s a kitchen and lounge for residents to use, plus an excellent gym in the clubhouse.

The course continues to evolve, too, with new greens on the 1st and 5th introducing some more undulating putting challenges. You’ll remember the tough 3rd as it slingshots round to the left and the very attractive 10th, where you’ll have to thread the needle on your approach if you stray out of position. Most of all, you’ll remember the three sharply left-to-right doglegs of varying lengths on 15, 16 and 18 that will further test your positional play.
