HOW IT WORKS

-

Good Housekeeping proudly sponsors the UK’S most famous walking marathon charity, Walk the Walk, which has raised more than £100 million for breast cancer charities. So who better to devise a plan for us than its founder, Nina Barough? ‘It’s been created for anyone who perhaps lacks the confidence, motivation or energy to start getting fitter,’ says Nina. Each walking day is followed by a rest day (see plan, overleaf), but as long as the number of walking days per week is achieved, they can be moved around to fit in with your life. Keep a log and track your progress to maintain your motivation. The ultimate aim is to walk at a pace of 15 minutes per mile.
