1 3 SUPPLEMENT YOUR BEAUTY

-

SOME OF THE SCIENCE MAY BE PATCHY, and many nutritionists and medics argue we get all we need from our diets, but modern eating habits and food production make me doubt this. There’s also a difference between not being deficient in something and having enough for optimum health/ beauty. Supplements I rate include:

● Seven Seas Perfect 7, £9.99, with omega 3s, skin-repairing vitamin A, zinc and biotin. Good for nails, too.

● Viviscal, £29.99 (Boots), works to improve hair growth, but you need to take it for at least three months.

● Ioma Collagen Renew, £89 for 105 capsules (feelunique. com), contains omega 3s, vitamin C, lycopene and soya isoflavones, and has a noticeable skin-plumping, hydrating, line-reducing result.

● Colladeen Visage, from £18.95 (naturesbest.co.uk). Its trials show an enhanced natural defence against sun damage of SPF10, on average, after 12 weeks. It also boosts skin elasticity and reduces lines.
