Avocado keeper

The GHI has discovered a great gizmo that extends the life of a halved avocado before it inevitably browns: Avocado Food Huggers, £5.99 for two (one small, one large), Lakeland (lakeland.co.uk). Made of silicone and dishwasher safe, the huggers cling tightly to a cut avocado (with the stone still in), to help prevent discoloration for up to a week if kept in the fridge!
