Sarah Raven

SUMMER is so close we can taste it, and we’re looking forward to long, lazy days in the garden. If your fingers are only reluctantly green, don’t miss gardener and television presenter Sarah Raven’s YOUR G&T GARDEN MADE EASY. Sarah walks us through the simple tasks that will take your green space from Spring to Summer – get started on those EDIBLE PLANTS now, and you could be adding homegrown courgettes to your seasonal salads! Sarah’s garden and cookery school at PERCH HILL in East Sussex will be open to the public on 29 April, and then again on 27 May and 17 June.

Wendy Holden

A creaky gate is played by an ironing board, but the Aga is real… It could only be THE ARCHERS! Who knew bestselling author Wendy Holden was a superfan? We sent her behind the scenes of the show, a year on from the storyline that had the whole country talking. Wendy herself grew up in YORKSHIRE, near the home of the Brontë sisters. She longed to write, and after landing a job on an art magazine, she moved on to the Sunday Times, ghostwriting the column by the late Tara Palmer-tomkinson. Appropriate, then, that her latest novel, LAURA LAKE AND THE HIPSTER WEDDINGS, is the first in a new series about a fearless magazine journalist.
