THE HAIR

Melanie’s hair is naturally curly but she often styles it straight, so Charlotte at Charlotte Mensah Hair Lounge trimmed the ends to create a sharper, more polished look that will work whichever way she wears it. Using a contouring colour technique and highlighting sections of hair, Charlotte created a low-maintenance style that enhances Melanie’s skin tone.

THE MAKE-UP

Her chiselled cheekbones were accentuated with a light dusting of blusher on the apples of her cheeks. ‘This look is tailored but relaxed and has a sense of fun to it,’ says stylist Emma. ‘The trousers elongate Melanie’s legs, while the slim-fit style is flattering, too.’

THE RESULT

‘My hair changes depending on my mood or whether it’s damp outside, which means it’s a curly day,’ says Melanie. ‘I loved the warm highlights. I never would have looked at the blouse and trousers, but the outfit really works.’
