The last great film you saw…

Parasite. I’d been desperate to see it even before it won four Oscars, and it’s the most perfect film – interesting, funny, elegant and thought-provoking. I paced the streets for hours afterwards trying to get over its brilliance. The film you could watch over

and over… I love Friday The 13th and Jaws. I’ve also watched the sequels of both several times! The performance that

made you cry… I don’t know if it had something to do with me being a bit drunk on a plane or the fact that I just loved it, but Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody made me weep. I watched it three times on a flight back from Thailand. The podcast you loved… I’m really into the American podcast Ologies. It’s hosted by Alie Ward, who interviews experts about their obsessions. The last boxset you binged on…

I absolutely loved Servant on Apple TV; it was so dark and so nuts. Top of your TV planner this month… I need to watch The Outsider on Sky Atlantic. The last album you loved…

Hörse Of The Dög by The Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster. That was quite a long time ago now! The one you want to hear…

I’m really looking forward to hearing Baxter Dury’s latest album, The Night Chancers. His last one, Prince Of Tears, was brilliant. The book that inspired you…

The one that made me change my life and become a chef was Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. It’s a proper look at the restaurant industry that should put any sane person off becoming a chef because of the truth about the hours, the drugs, the suicides and the pay – but it was so gripping and gave me such a huge buzz that I felt I’d found my people. The best recommendation you received… A friend told me to watch Piercing on Netflix and it’s one of the best and most underrated films of all time. I adored its grim lunacy. The ticket you’d love to get your hands on… I wish I’d seen David Bowie when I had the chance.
