Beauty director Eve wants mood-boosting top-to-toe gloss and glow

WHAT WITH LOCKDOWNS, MY BEACH BODY IS ON HOLD UNTIL 2022.

But, ever the optimist, I anticipate revealing legs and arms soon, so am cracking on with a fitness regime, which means I am aching quite a bit. I’ve found that stiffness, aches and general body tiredness can be temporarily alleviated with a wallow in Aroma Active Laboratories Muscle Recovery Soak [3], £15, then rubbing in its

Muscle Recovery Balm [2], £12. Along with anti-inflammatories, such as turmeric and cannabinoids, it also contains menthol, which I love for its medicinal smell and skin tingle. It’s also in fourfivecbd’s excellent Thermal Joint Gel [5], £34.99, and the wonderfully hydrating Elemis Warm-up Massage Balm [4], £42.

THE BODY CONSCIOUSNESS DOESN’T STOP THERE.

Bondi Sands Pure Gradual Tanning Lotion [12], £12.99, builds a natural glow after a few applications, with zero dryness; the packaging is 100% recyclable, too. It’s a good buy if you’re not confident with self-tan, but if you’re a dab hand, try St. Tropez x Ashley Graham Ultimate Glow Kit, £38. The Self Tan

Luxe Whipped Creme Mousse [11] is tinted; has a pretty scent, leaving very little tell-tale smell when it dries; and thanks to the mitt it’s paired with, blends in seamlessly.

MY HAIR IS SOFTER AND SHINIER thanks to L’oréal Paris’s next-gen conditioner, Elvive Dream Lengths 8 Second Wonder Water [6], £9.99. Its lamellar technology coats fibres, though not in a way that leaves your hair feeling full of residue, but, instead, detangled, glossy and healthy. A brilliant buy.

I DO LIKE VITAMIN C IN MY MORNING SKINCARE (it’s a protective antioxidant, can help stimulate collagen synthesis and brightens a dull, uneven skin tone), so will be stocking up on glow-giving No7 Radiance+ 15% Vitamin C Serum [10], £20, and Wild Science Lab Root + Fruit Juice Boost Brightening Serum, £38. Both have zingy citrus scents for a feelgood boost.

A NEW LIPSTICK ALWAYS RAISES MY SPIRITS.

I adore Charlotte Tilbury Hyaluronic Happikiss [1], £25, which comes in 10 shades. Not only is it glossy with a big colour payoff, but it’s laced with lip-plumping hyaluronic acid and a peptide to help reduce vertical lines. To lift my complexion, I’ll be wearing NARS Air Matte Blush, £25. The creamy formulation turns into velvety diffused colour on application. Peach-toned Rush is pretty on fair skin, while Gasp, a rose bronze, is gorgeous on dark skin.

PRE-COVID, I WAS RARELY WITHOUT A GEL MANI.

However, I’ve become used to having bare nails, which are looking pretty healthy thanks to the gallons of hand cream I’ve been massaging in. Kure Bazaar’s new collection of Nail Polishes, £15, in orangey-red Java [9], cocoa brown Magnifico and terracotta Puglia [7], is tempting me back to colour though. It’s not the usual spring offering of pastels, rather a touch of 1980s meets autumnal chic. Or I may stick with the natural look, prettied up with Ciaté Plant Pots in Sweet Blush [8], £10.
