COOKING AND CHAT
The recipes in GH have got my family through the lockdowns. My mother and I live over 100 miles apart and they brought us together, both of us cooking them and then sharing our thoughts about the results. The icing on the cake is that my daughter is a student and has joined the cooking and the chat from her university accommodation. NICKI PRATELLI
KNOWING MUM’S WISHES
Dr Lucy Pollock discussed such an important issue in Be Brave And Start Talking (February). At the age of 85, my mother – once an active, adventurous headteacher – was diagnosed with widespread cancer. She decided not to have invasive treatment, but to enjoy the months she had left. Knowing what she wanted, I was able to make it happen. I can look back with no regrets, and I was able to help fulfil her wishes. AMANDA EGAN
WOMEN & SCIENCE
I’m so pleased you highlighted the achievements of women working in medicine and immunology as we battle Covid-19 (February). Could I suggest you expand your coverage to include women scientists who are leading in other areas, such as energy and climate change? Especially as we approach the UN Climate Change Conference later this year. DR JULIA WEST MBE
TRUE FAN
I enjoyed your interview with Jayne Torvill in the February issue. What a partnership she’s had with Christopher Dean. I am a true fan and went to all their shows in Australia when I lived there. I remember ‘playing truant’ from my job when I heard an extra date had been added! DIANA ENGLISH
FAMILY MEMORIES
Susan Calman’s February column made me laugh out loud when I read about her family holidays. We also holidayed on M&S tinned Chicken in White Sauce and drank Orangina. Long may she write for you. BARBARA HARRISON
Very proud of my miso meatballs from your recipe in the February edition. They tasted delicious. All the Triple-tested recipes I’ve made have been spot on! Thank you.

We regularly use your recipes, particularly gluten-free ones. This toffee apple cake was made for a church choir party. It was widely acclaimed, even the canon had a large slice. Our guests have been known to clap at the reveal of GH desserts. Keep up the good work.
